Armenian Font

of the pages on this site are both in English and Armenian. To be able
to see the Armenian & English letters at the same time, you need a
special font which has both of these letters in it.
To make things easy for you, we have
provided a link to a free Armenian/English font (Both for IBM compatible
and Apple Mac Computers). Please follow the simple instructions bellow
to download and install the above mentioned font successfully on your computer.
Installation instructions
for Windows 95, 98, and NT users (You may wish to print this).
Step 1 –
Downloading the font
-
Click “here”
to download the special Armenian/English font for free (Windows version)
-
Use a program like "WinZip"
to decompress the “at_w.zip” file and save it on your hard disk.
A file (font) called “at.ttf” will be saved to your hard disk.

Make sure you remember where you have
saved the new font.
Step 2 – Installing
the font on your computer
-
Double click on the “My Computer”
icon on your desktop to open it.
-
Double click on the “Control Panel”
folder to open it.
-
Locate the “Fonts” folder
and double click on it – Go to the menu bar located at the top of the window
and select “File” & then “Install New Font”.
-
A dialog box called “Add Fonts”
will appear. Use the “Folders” window to locate the new font
called “Times LatArm” and then click OK, and close
all open windows.
Step 3 – Changing
the font in your browser
-
In Netscape Navigator
-
Open the Netscape Navigator browser
-
From the menu bar select “Edit”
and then “Preferences”.
-
In the preferences dialog box select
“Appearances”
and then “Fonts”, where it says
“Variable Width Fonts”
click on the down arrow and select the new font called “Times LatArm”
from the list.

Click “OK” to close the
dialog box and you are ready to view the Armenian letters.

In Microsoft Internet Explorer
-
Open Microsoft Internet Explorer
-
From the menu bar select “View”
and then “Internet Options”.
-
In the “General” section
of the Internet options dialog box click on the “Fonts” button,
where it says “Proportional font” click on the down arrow
and select the new font called “Times LatArm” from the list.

Click “OK” to close the
dialog boxes and you are ready to view the Armenian letters.
Installation instructions
for Apple Mac users (You may wish to print this).
Step 1 –
Downloading the font
-
Click “here”
to download the special Armenian/English font for free (Mac version).
-
Use a program which can decompress “zip”
files to decompress the “at_m.zip” file and save it on your hard
disk. A Mac files in MacBinary format called “at.mtt” will be saved
to your hard disk.

Use a MacBinary decoder like “Stuffit
Expander” to restore the file as a valid Mac file. This will create
a new font-file called “Times LatArm” - Make sure you remember
where you have saved the new font.
Step 2 – Installing
the font on your computer
-
Double click on the main “Hard
Disk” icon on your desktop to open it.

Locate the new font called “Times
LatArm” and drag it onto the “Systems” folder in
your open hard disk window.

A dialog box will appear asking you
if you wish to install the font in your “fonts” folder, click
“OK”
to accept and close the dialog box.
