In 1997 a new set of 6 denominations
where issued honouring some of the well known Armenian literary and artistic
personnel. The denominations are 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000 and 20,000.

by the first Republic of Armenia in 1919
The following are pictures of the
very rear banknotes and stamps issued by the first Republic of Armenia
in 1919. Back then the currency was called “Rouble”. The denominations
shown are 100 and 250 Roubles.
